P.E. – Egyptian Dance Art – Andy Goldsworthy As part of their art work this term, the children looked at the work of the artist Andy Goldsworthy. He creates his art work by using natural materials.
P.E. – Warrior Dance Inspired by the Vikings and the traditional Maori dance, the Haka, Year 5 children created their own warrior dances. Science – Parachutes Children in Year 5 investigated different materials and sizes, trying to make the perfect parachute.
Art – Chalk Butterfly Pictures Children in Year 6 had a wonderful experimenting with colouring and blending techniques when using chalks. They used a butterfly template to colour and blend around the pattern before creating a symmetrical pattern inside the shape. Very effective.
