Non-chronological reports
Our Year 6 pupils have produced impressive non-fiction writing in the form of non-chronological reports about their own imaginary planets, inspired by the book Planetarium. Using formal language, clear subheadings, organised paragraphs, bullet-pointed facts and a rich mix of Tier 2 and Tier 3 vocabulary, the children showcased their understanding of effective information writing.
With features such as rhetorical questions and direct address, Year 6 shared their finished reports with Year 5 Poplar, linking beautifully to Year 5’s Science unit on Space.
Please read through our immersive reports and discover unbelievable galaxies and magical planets where nothing resembles life on Earth.
