Pupil Leadership

Pupil Leadership at Highwood Primary School

At Highwood, we encourage pupils from an early age to develop leadership skills such as active listening, decision-making and the ability to inspire others. Our pupil leadership groups, guided by passionate teachers, play an important role in building character and confidence. We also teach the British value of democracy, as our Pupil Leaders are either elected by their peers or selected through an application process. Together, they help shape our caring and respectful school community.

Science Ambassadors

Our Science Ambassadors will:

  • Work alongside the Science leads to continue to raise the profile of Science across the school.
  • Gather pupil voice and share ideas with pupils across the school.
  • Contribute to projects such as British Science Week and other STEM projects.
  • Act as role models, showing curiosity, responsibility, and teamwork.

The team will meet regularly with the Science Leads, to plan and develop whole-school projects and activities that make Science engaging for all pupils.
